namely Abangan , students and gentry .
However, in the Java community in
Malaysia, social class is not focused. It because mostly Java community in
Malaysia has been assimilated with other people’s lives. In life all day, the
Java community has several systems. Their lives are headed by a chairman.
Chairman plays an important role in life to ensure the harmony of the Java
community.
Chairman of the Java community is
the village chief and Kiai. Headman is a prince in the Java community. He has a
responsibility and carry a big mandate for ensuring comforts of the villagers.
Ward elections are typically based on skill, experience, and knowledge in the
religious ancestry. Bureau Ward received while the habit will be born by the
villagers. Bureau Ward will be assisted by some helpers to facilitate business
administration. In addition to the safety of the village, Glens turn heads when
collaborative activities and other social activities.
In addition to overlap, there are
also positions Kiai or Siak. Kiai appointed in men who are knowledgeable in the
field of religion and social issues. Kiai is responsible for a priest in prayer
in worship. Kiai is also responsible leading feast prayers and religious
ceremonies. A Kiai be complete with religious knowledge in giving guidance to
the community.
In case of death, Kiai serve as
priests for funeral prayers. This is in honor of Kiai who played vital roles in
the custom death.
