JAVA COMMUNITY TRUST

The Java Malaysian Muslims. They adopt a variety of beliefs passed down from  generations. There is a belief that is still practiced to this day, and some have been lost in time.

Javanese from Sya'fie to uphold the five pillars of faith and believe the six pillars of Islam. These are the two pillars of their faith foundation to be a perfect Muslim in the sight of God. They are very concerned about aspects of the relationship in line with the teachings of Islam. Besides, the Java community is the brother of another Muslim society.

There are a handful of Javanese who practices animism. It relates to the belief in spirits and the spirit of a place. They believe in a place of residence spirits up there who consider the place sacred.

There are also a number of senior citizens who believe in the Java community spirit in a new place. If the spirit is lost or threatened as clean, reliable will effect somebody the disease. Therefore, they need to make some 'semahan' or dining with roasted so that the spirit is back to normal.

Additionally, the Java community also believe some of the objects that have the power like mounds, large rocks or trees. Power is said to have an impact on those who tease or do things that are not suggestive to the object. Hence why many among those taking the opportunity to make mounds , rocks or large trees as objects that can be profitable as stabbing tail number .

In addition, for Java beliefs, they believe various types of invisible spirits that can be dangerous as accidents or illness . To protect all of that, they provide wages consisting of rice and a variety of food, flowers and leaves of incense.

The Java beliefs also love to do activities such as fasting month. Examples, they fasted on certain days such as Mondays and Thursdays or on birthdays . Everything that comes out of that is due to the teachings of Sufi groups they embrace.

 However, this animistic beliefs and practices are lost in time because Islam insists the practice is regarded as polytheism and against religion.

Javanese people also believe that Friday is the best day or the head of the day. Keliwon Friday is the best day to do and demands a wealth of knowledge. According to Javanese, among specialties keliwon Friday night is when it rains, the rain water to be retained on the home page and it is effective in water made ​​the water clean heart. Friday Night Keliwon also be used by the practitioner of the lost will test his knowledge for the first time.

The Java community also believe that in the event if there are people who died on Friday Keliwon , his grave had kept day and night until the completion of 40 days of fear exhumed by the unscrupulous to take his tongue , and so the shroud to be a talisman to make things prohibited by Allah SWT such as robbery, witchcraft and other superstitious beliefs .
